On Friday, December 6th, our students from the “Sustainability: an Interdisciplinary Approach (SIA)” course will be presenting real life Islands of Hope through different multimedia format including photography and podcasts. What are Islands of Hope? These are initiatives and pioneers leading sustainable transitions across sectors including Economy, Education, Energy, Food and Agriculture, Governance, and Mobility. Our students sought out these hopeful projects, exploring what problems they solve and what challenges they have overcome in their strive towards a sustainable transition, and will share their findings.
This builds on Land of Hope, a book co-written by the SIA students of last year, which serves as a beacon of optimism and invites readers to imagine and work toward a brighter, sustainable future.
